For the week of May 13th

Church Attendance Sign In Procedure - Beginning the week of May 20, 2012 St. Paul's church members will be required to sign the attendance sheet in the church office with the elder on duty after the service they attend.  This will be the official record of attendance and will be used to determine eligibility for the St. Paul's Member Tuition Rate.

Tuition and Fees - As we approach the end of the school year, all tuition and fees must be paid in order for final report cards to be given to the students, eighth graders to participate in graduation and receive diplomas, and student records to be transferred.  Please be sure to stay current with your financial obligations to St. Paul's. With this in mind, we must have: ALL FEES PAID NO LATER THAN MONDAY, MAY 21st. We will NOT accept any checks after May 21st. ALL FEES MUST BE PAID BY CASH, CASHIER’S CHECK, MONEY ORDER or CREDIT CARD.  We are doing this so we will be able to pay all outstanding school bills for the school year.  Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Open Registration - The early registration periods have ended along with the early registration incentives.  Registration is now open to the community.  If you did not take advantage of the early registration period or did not return the Intent To Return Form (which required no deposit) you may be IN DANGER OF LOSING YOUR SPACE IN THE CLASSROOM. There is a limit of 24 students per classroom.  Once classrooms are full, waiting lists will be started.

Open House - Our school will be having another open house on Thursday, May 17th, from 12:00- 7:00pm.  Please help spread the word to your family, friends, and neighbors! Remember, you and the person you refer will receive $500 off of your tuition next school year!

Track Update - Congratulations to all of the students who competed in the track meets. Final results will be posted next week. Participants that placed will receive their ribbons at the closing chapel service, May 25th. Thank you to all of the parents that helped out!

Spartan Choir- The last day of choir was Tuesday, May 1st. Thank you to Mr. & Mrs. LaBranche and all of our choir members for a wonderful job throughout the year!

A Reminder about Dental & Vision Exams - It is a state requirement that we have current dental exams on file for the Kindergarten, Second, and Sixth graders. All Kindergarteners are required to have a vision exam. If you did not turn in your dental or vision exam in at beginning of the school year, please be sure to before the last day of school,  May 25th,or your child’s last report card will be held. You may also qualify for a Waiver from the Department of Public Health. These are available in the school office. These can only be obtained if you are currently enrolled in Medicaid and there is not a dentist or optometrist available to accept this insurance or if you have no insurance and can’t find any low-cost clinics to perform the exam. If you have any questions you can call the Illinois Department of Public Health at 1-217-785-4899.

Yearbook -Yearbooks are still on sale for $17.50 until the end of the year. If you can’t make it into the office, please send your money in an envelope marked “Yearbook” with YOUR CHILD’S NAME. We will have yearbook signing on the 24th at the end of the school day.

Blood Drive– Heartland Blood Center, a nonprofit organization serving 35 area hospitals,  will be here at St. Paul’s on Saturday, May19th  (in the gym until noon). It takes just an hour of your time and one pint of blood can save three lives. People who need a blood transfusion are usually in a life or death situation. What greater gift can you give someone than another chance at life? If you are at least 17 (16 with written permission), weigh at least 110 lbs., and are in general good health, you can donate. Please call Barb Tucker (754-2868) for an appointment or sign up online at www.heartlandbc.org. Walk-ins are welcome!
