Pennies for Patients - Week three collection has brought the school total to $567.69.  Class totals are as follows:

PK - $137.97, K - $100.72, 1st/2nd - $95.82, 3rd/4th - $57.05, 5th/6th - $89.78, 7th/8th - $86.25.  The last collection date will be Monday, April 15.

OPEN HOUSE- We are hosting an Open House during our Fine Arts Fest on Friday, April 19th from 3:00pm- 7:00pm. Please share this date with anyone you know that is looking for a school. Mr. Green is always willing to give tours to interested families. We are still offering the $500 referral discount.

Tuition and Fees Payments - Please continue to remain current on your payments.  The ten day grace period is in effect for the months of March and April.  However, during the month of May, tuition and outstanding fees (milk, BASC, tardies, etc.) must be paid by May 20th.  Students will not be allowed to attend school until the outstanding balance is paid.  No special payment arrangements will be made.   Fees incurred after May 20th will be billed on a weekly basis. 


Annual  8th Grade Spaghetti Dinner & Bake Sale- The  8th graders are hosting their annual Spaghetti Dinner, Sunday, April 14th from 11:30am-3:00pm in the gym. Tickets are $5, 3 and under are free. Tickets will be sold at the door.  Checks should be made out to ‘St. Paul’s 8th Grade’. Thank you in advance for your support!

 

Fine Arts Fest- Please join us on Friday, April 19th at 6:30pm for our Fine Arts Fest featuring our choirs, band, and student’s artwork. Refreshments will be served. Please arrive at 6:00 if your child is participating.

 

8th Grade Graduation Pictures- Inter State Studio will be here to take 8th Grade Graduation pictures on Tuesday, April 23rd. Caps and gowns were sent home today. Theses picture are pre-order. If you need another order form please contact the school office. Students may wear dress clothes and change into their uniform after their pictures are taken.

 

PTL Spring Fashion Show– The PTL is hosting a Spring Fashion Show and Silent Auction on Saturday, May 4th. Doors open at 12:30pm, h’orderves will be served at 1:00pm and the Fashion Show will start at 1:45pm. Tickets are $7.00 for adults, children 4 and under are free. You can pick up your ticket order form in the school office. We are still looking for models to participate in the Fashion Show. If you are interested in helping out please fill out the participation form attached to the ticket order form.

 

Track Info– Track season is upon us! Information and permission forms were sent home before Easter break. You will need to have a current physical on file and have turned in any past season’s sports uniforms (if applicable) in order to participate in track. No fee is required. The first track practice is on Monday, April 15th from 4:00-5:15 with a parent meeting to follow. Mr. Strecker is also looking for parent volunteers. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help, please contact Mr. Strecker at 708-475-3365 or kstrecker.spch@gmail.com.

 

 

A Reminder about Dental & Vision Exams - It is a state requirement that we have current dental exams on file for the Kindergarten, Second, and Sixth graders. All Kindergarteners are required to have a vision exam. If you did not turn in your dental or vision exam in at beginning of the school year, please be sure to before the last day of school,  May31st ,or your child’s last report card will be held. You may also qualify for a Waiver from the Department of Public Health. These are available in the school office. These can only be obtained if you are currently enrolled in Medicaid and there is not a dentist or optometrist available to accept this insurance or if you have no insurance and can’t find any low-cost clinics to perform the exam. If you have any questions you can call the Illinois Department of Public Health at 1-217-785-4899. 

 

 It’s Yearbook Time! - An order form for our 2012/2013 yearbook was sent home.  If you’re interested in ordering, bring your order forms with payment to the school office on or before April 26th.  We will have a special yearbook signing at the end of the school year.

 

K.I.D.S. Stamp Program – St. Paul’s students have an opportunity to participate in the Lutheran Church Extension Program – Kids Into Discipleship and Stewardship (K.I.D.S.) Stamp Program.  This is not a fund raiser for L.C.E.F.!  Rather, this is a program to teach our children about Christian stewardship and the value of opening a savings account.  Please contact Julie Van or Judy Lambert if you are interested in having your child participate.   There are also brochures available outside the school office.
